Custom software for architecture.

Architecture firms manage a unique mix of creative projects and regulatory constraints (permits, zoning, technical standards). Generic tools capture neither the specifics of deliverables, nor the complexity of percentage-based fee billing.

01What we solve

Three recurring problems.
The same in most firms.

Before talking software, we talk pain points. If you don't recognize any of these three, we are probably not the right partner for you.

  • 01

    Building permits are a maze

Required documents vary by municipality, instruction times slip, additional document requests are not tracked. Your team loses hours rebuilding the file you are asked for the third time.

30% of permit files get at least one additional-document request

  • 02

    Percentage-based billing is twisted

Fees as % of contract value, in stages (ESQ, APS, APD, PRO, EXE, DET, AOR), with revisions on each site amendment. Generic tools can't do it, you compute by hand, miss stages, bill late.

1 in 4 firms bills late or incompletely

  • 03

    Deliverables live everywhere

Plans in Revit, sketches in Photoshop, notes in PDFs, exchanges in emails. When a client asks for the latest version, nobody knows which one it is. Plan versions live their own life.

02Complex or critical software

The systems that
cannot fail.

When your processes require a replayable audit trail, sagas with compensation, or compliance by construction, we ship an event-driven architecture (DDD + CQRS + Event Sourcing), not a CRUD layered with audit logs.

  • 10-year decennial memory replayable

    10-year decennial memory replayable

Every design decision (structural choice, plan modification, amendment validation) is kept for 10 years in tamper-proof form. In case of damage 8 years after delivery, exact reconstruction of architectural decisions and their authors, evidence admissible to insurers and courts.

  • MOP-law fee tracking by stage

    MOP-law fee tracking by stage

Full cycle on the 7 MOP-law stages (ESQ → APS → APD → PRO → EXE → DET → AOR) with project-owner validation at each milestone. If a stage is rejected, automatic recalculation of fees over the entire contract and clean rollback of all upstream stages concerned.

  • Low-carbon Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and labels

Low-carbon Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) and labels

Automatic LCA computation per E+C- framework, Bbio / Cep / Ic.energy / Ic.construction indicators traced on each plan revision, comparison with RE 2020 phase-2 thresholds (2025) and HQE Performance / BBCA / Bio-sourced labels. Compliance report replayable at any project version, auditable by the inspection office.

    AI-assisted multi-stakeholder BIM coordination

An AI assistant per profession (architect, structure, MEP, acoustics) that syncs IFC models, automatically detects collisions, escalates to those responsible and keeps the trace of every arbitration between trades.

03Mobile and web applications

The day-to-day apps,
screen by screen.

For everything else (CRM, portals, scheduling, billing), we ship a custom application, on your design system and with your existing integrations.

  • Permit and administrative-document tracking

    Permit and administrative-document tracking

Per-permit-type document checklist (PC, PCM, DP, AT, ERP), instruction-time tracking, alerts before tacit responses. Link to municipal services where available.

  • Stage-based fee billing

    Stage-based fee billing

Project-management mission split into stages (ESQ, APS, APD, PRO, EXE, DET, AOR), per-stage percentage automatically computed, invoices generated on customer validation. Amendments with mission recalculation.

  • Multi-project and resource planning

    Multi-project and resource planning

Per-project Gantt view, per-architect team workload, regulatory milestones (permit submission, site start, delivery). Detection of resource overcommitments.

04Regulations & integrations

What we handle natively,
no add-ons.

Business compliance and key integrations are not options, they are prerequisites built in from the start.

  • Urban planning code

Building permits, zoning, ABF, public-building rules

  • MOP law

Public project ownership, normalized fee stages

  • Order of Architects

    Roll registration, ethics, insurance

  • RT 2020 / RE 2020

    Thermal and environmental regulation

  • DTU & DTA

Unified technical documents and technical opinions

  • 10-year archival

    Decennial liability, plan retention

05Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we get in meetings.

Do you replace Architéo / Studio Architecte?
Yes in most cases. We take your current process as the spec, add the client portal, mobile and Revit/ArchiCAD integrations. Migration of in-flight projects included.
We work a lot with local authorities, is the MOP law handled?
Yes. The normalized stages (ESQ → AOR) are pre-configured, percentages tailored to each mission type (refurbishment, new build, urban planning), and billing generates directly to Chorus Pro.
Architects aren't into digital tools. Real adoption?
The app is designed to fit into the flow: from Outlook, from Revit, from the phone on site. Architects use what saves them time, time entry, validation, plans.
What about the link with Revit / ArchiCAD?
We don't reinvent BIM. Revit and ArchiCAD files stay where they are (OneDrive, Trimble, BIMcloud). We reference and version them from the Swoft app, with plan preview in the browser.
What does it cost for a 5-architect firm?
Swoft pricing is on scope, not per user. For a 5-architect firm with permits + fees + client portal modules, typically €25-40k initial project then €4-6k/year maintenance.
